Hi everyone, happy crafting day!! This is my favourite posting day. I just LOVE creating things and each week the project is a bit of a surprise to me. I start out with a vague idea of what I want to make and then just start!
This week I got a new set of tarot cards and decided I needed a nice box to store them in. I wanted something with a vintage or rustic style that would fit both of my decks, my book and a journal. Sadly, my book won’t fit but I will be able to add a journal.
I used one of the boxes from my Glossybox subscription, two sheets 12×12 paper, PVA glue, texture paste (recipe below), book pages, glue stick, staining ink and sponge, jute ribbon, and regular ribbon.
Texture Paste Recipe
Mix together…
- 6 tbsp Baby Powder
- 3 tbsp White Acrylic Paint
- 2 tbsp PVA Glue
The paste smells strongly of the baby powder so if that’s a smell you hate you could try using baking soda instead.

I hope you enjoy the project 💜 Please let me know if you decide to try it out.

Looking Back on My First Reading Journal
Back in 2019, I discovered the wonderful world of reading journals and dove right in not quite sure what I was doing. As I researched more I uncovered junk journaling and fully embraced that style. I don’t often see people creating reading journals in a junk journal style but I love it! In today’s video,…
It looks like a very interesting book. I’m looking forward to checking it out.

That sounds so interesting! I will add it to my list, thanks for sharing.

That’s an adorable project. It so happens that I just bought a new deck from Baba Studio – the new Mythical Creatures tarot. A box like this would be perfect.

This is an awesome idea. I really need to make one now because my tarot decks are just stacked on a shelf. This is a better way to keep them and protect them.
