I’m visiting my family for the next week or so and scrambled to get some content ready to go up while I’m away. So we have a few tags to enjoy 😉
I both hate and love tags, they make it so easy to create content but because it’s so easy it feels lazy and like the content doesn’t have much value. They have really helped me get used to creating content though. They’re like training wheels. And of course, they do have value, I really enjoy reading the tags that other people post…. so I guess I should just chill out about it!
This is the 25 Foodie Questions tag. Enjoy 🙂
What’s your favourite breakfast?
I’m not a big fan of breakfast foods they tend to give me an upset stomach. Usually, I just won’t eat in the morning and then have my lunch around 12.
How do you drink your coffee?
Black with a spoon of sugar. Simple 🙂 When I have coffee out I usually get a cappuccino but lately since it’s been so warm I’ve been having iced mochas which are freaking delicious!
What’s on your favourite sandwich?
I don’t usually eat sandwichs cause bread doesn’t really get along with me but when I do I usually go for an egg salad sandwich.
Soup or Salad?
Soup unless it’s hot out then I’d have a salad.
What’s your favourite cookbook?
Cornucopia cookbook from the restaurant in Dublin. Every recipe I’ve made from it has been delicious and it’s a very informative cookbook. It’s full of little tips about cooking and explains the reasons for doing certain things like sweating veg.
No more sweets or no more hearty foods?
I would be perfectly fine with never eating sweets again.
What’s your favourite Cuisine?
Probably Italian. Pizza and pasta are just so easy to make and taste great.
What’s your favourite food movie?
Chef was really good. The only other foodie movie I can think of is Ratatouille which I didn’t really like because I hate rats.
What’s your most guilty pleasure?
I’m going to go with take away pizza. It is so so bad for me but I love it!
What’s your greatest inspiration source?
My cookbooks. I often spend ages looking through them and planning out meals.
Cooking at home or going out for dinner?
I love both! Cooking at home can be more enjoyable cause I actually find the cooking part fun too. The clean up afterwards though is not.
High end or low profile?
I’ve never been impressed with the food in somewhere posh. I find they focus so much on meat and display that the veggie options are a bit meh. I do like going for drinks somewhere fancy though.
What’s your favourite restaurant?
I have so many!! I love Amicus, Liberty Grill, Nando’s is good too.
I do my grocery shopping at:
Aldi, Tesco, the English Market, and some health food stores.
The tastiest food I’ve ever eaten was:
I have no idea! Pizza!
Coffee with George Clooney or Heston Blumenthal?
The stuff Heston makes is a bit too strange for me so a straight Nespresso with George Clooney would be grand.
What should not be missing in your kitchen?
I think a blender is very handy.
What is your favourite snack?
Fruit and these little corn things I get from the health food store.
What’s on your pizza?
Cheese, mushrooms, onions and some herbs. Sometimes chilli peppers.
What food do you really dislike?
Anything with an anise flavour.
What’s your favourite food blog?
I follow YouTube channels more than blogs. I love The Happy Pear, Cheap Lazy Vegan, Avant-Garde Vegan and Bosh. I don’t know why everyone I follow is vegan when I’m not one but there you go.
What’s the weirdest thing you’ve ever eaten?
I didn’t mention this is my video below because I forgot about it but I had a savoury pannacotta for dessert in Gran Canaria that tasted like curry. Not that weird but it was surprising.
What’s on your food bucket list?
There are a bunch of restaurants I want to try in town. Cafe Paradiso is a really lovely looking vegetarian place I need to go to.
I couldn’t live without:
Coffee, prosecco, wine, strawberries and cream… It could really go on and on.
