2017 Goodreads Challenge

I reached my goal, hooray!!! I set myself a goal of 150 books in January and reached it yesterday. 150 is a lot but it’s not as big as it sounds since Goodreads counts short stories and stuff as well. I probably read around 100 full-length novels and I’ll probably get 4 more read before the end of December.

I haven’t really read anything of note yet this month.

Despite reaching my goal of 150 I’m going to set a smaller one for next year because I want to invest more time in other pursuits….and I need to get out of the house a bit more ๐Ÿ˜‰

All of the books mentioned are available fromย Book Depository with free worldwide shipping.

  1. Congrats!!!! Itโ€™s funny but the GR challenge is the only book challenge I sign up for, and reaching that goal is already stressful enough. I even adjusted this years goal because of work. No reason to kill myself reading books when my work schedule doesnโ€™t allow as many as last year. But I love keeping track of the books I read and there is nothing better than GR.;-)

    1. I did a lot of it outdoors actually. Not so much during winter and autumn cause it rains a lot here but I was outside most of the summer. A few coffee shop reading sessions too.

      1. Mmm coffee shop reading. ๐Ÿ˜Š Rains a lot here too. I love reading outdoors, there’s a lot to be said for lying on the grass or on a park bench reading. (I cheat…there’s a botanic garden near where I work where I go to read outdoors…indoors!) ๐Ÿ˜
